Local SEO for window, door and double glazing companies

SEO for window and door companies

Rank on Google does SEO for window and door companies, double glazing firms included, and takes the whole job off your hands. Your Business Profile, your listings on other sites and your website all get built around the words people use when they want new windows or a new front door, and it’s all live within 7 days.

Every result on this page belongs to one client, Eco Glaze Scotland, which supplies and fits uPVC windows and doors across Dundee, Perth and Fife. Our first scan on file, from 9 March 2026, already had it 1st on the map for “double glazing windows”, so there’s no climb to show you here and we won’t dress one up. On our latest scan of that search, on 24 September 2026, Eco Glaze was 1st at 57 of the 169 points on a 5-mile grid centred west of Dundee, and in the top 3 across 50.89% of the map.

Top 3 on Google in 90 days. Or £500 back.

Put in the product you want more enquiries for, whether that’s windows, doors or both, and your town. Within 30 to 60 minutes you’ll see your position on the map, what’s letting your Business Profile and website down, and a price for the build.

Trusted by local businesses across the UK

Where Eco Glaze ranks now

The search we track for Eco Glaze is “double glazing windows”, typed with no town, so Google chooses which firms to show from wherever the person searching happens to be. Eco Glaze was already ranking well for it when we ran our first scan, so there’s no before and after here, just where it stands today.

Latest scan, 24 Sep 2026. A 13x13 grid with a 5.0 mile radius, centred on Longforgan between Perth and Dundee, with its east edge running through the West End of Dundee. ARP 4.49, which averages its position over the 136 points where it made the top 20. It was 1st at 57 of the 169 points and in the top 3 across 50.89% of the map, the second-biggest share of the 53 businesses in the scan.

Map scan of "double glazing windows" on 24 September 2026, a 13x13 grid with a 5 mile radius centred on Longforgan, showing Eco Glaze Scotland 1st across Inchture, Errol and the south west of the map and outside the top 20 from Auchterhouse down to Lochee and Ninewells on the west side of Dundee

Latest scan, “double glazing windows”, 24 Sep 2026. 13x13 grid, 5.0 mile radius.

On every scan we ran from 9 March to 19 June, on a much wider grid, Eco Glaze came 1st for average rank, for its share of the top 3 and for market share. Tony Kalsi of Eco Glaze put it this way in a Facebook recommendation dated 22 June: “I have started to notice a lot more calls coming through from my Google!”

Second on this map since July

Since 3 July we’ve scanned this search on one fixed grid, 14 times, always from the same centre point with the same 5-mile radius, so this is the run to compare like with like. On every one of them a firm with a Dundee city address has had a bigger share of the top 3 than Eco Glaze, between 55.62% and 63.31% of the map against Eco Glaze’s 47.93% to 52.66%. So on this grid Eco Glaze has been 2nd from the first scan, and the 24 September figure of 50.89% is its second-best share of the run.

The firm in front had 69 Google reviews on the 24 September scan against Eco Glaze’s 102, and the firm in 3rd had 22. Google’s own help pages say more reviews and positive ratings can help a business’s local ranking, and on this map they plainly haven’t been enough on their own.

Where it doesn’t show

At 33 of the 169 points on the September map, Eco Glaze isn’t in the top 20 at all, and every one of them is in the top right corner, from Auchterhouse, north west of Dundee, down through Muirhead and Birkhill to Lochee, Ninewells and the river along the city’s West End. Dundee was the weak spot in March too, when most of the points over the city read 18, 19 or 20.

The scans show where the gap is, not why. The September grid also stops at the West End, so it tells you nothing about the east of the city.

The results page has other clients’ scans, first and latest.

Customers don’t all type “double glazing”

Typing “double glazing” into Google from the UK brought up suggestions including “double glazing near me”, “double glazing repairs near me” and “double glazing windows”. Start with “replacement windows” and it offers “replacement windows near me” and “replacement windows cost”, while “window fitters near” brings up “window fitters near me” and “window installers near me”. The comparison searches split again: “double glazing vs” opens with triple glazing, single glazing and secondary glazing, and “upvc windows vs” opens with aluminium windows.

So one job, new windows, gets searched as double glazing, replacement windows, window fitters, window installers and uPVC windows, and repairs get searched on their own. Eco Glaze’s Business Profile names the work in most of those ways, with services listed as Double Glazing, Double Glazing Installation, Replacement Window Installer, Window Fitters and uPVC Windows. Its website now has an areas page, with a page each for Dundee and Perth under it, which we wrote and which went live in May 2026.

Our weekly scans for Eco Glaze only cover “double glazing windows”, so this page has no ranking figure for the other phrasings.

The categories Google offers a window firm

Every Business Profile has one main category, and Google tells businesses that the categories they choose affect their local ranking. Look up “window” in the categories Google offers UK businesses and you get eight, from Window installation service, Window supplier and PVC windows supplier to Window cleaning service, Window tinting service and Auto window tinting service. Double glazing installer isn’t one of them. You find it by searching “glazing”, where it sits next to Glazier, and a search for “uPVC” finds nothing at all.

The categories come with different lists of standard jobs, too. Double glazing installer has none. Window installation service has 20, and alongside “Double-glazed window installation and replacement” they include “Hurricane impact window installation” and “Vinyl window installation and replacement”, vinyl being what American firms call uPVC. The list for Glazier starts with “Auto glass repair”.

So most of what a UK window firm sells has to go onto the profile as services written in its own words. Eco Glaze’s main category is Double glazing installer, with seven more including Glazier, Door supplier and Window supplier, and 21 of the 31 services on its profile were added in its own words rather than picked from Google’s lists.

Google also fills a windows map with all sorts of firms. On the 24 September scan, 20 businesses had some share of the top 3, and 11 of them had Double glazing installer among their categories. The other nine included two joinery firms, a glass repair firm, a glass merchant, a stained glass supplier and a garden building firm.

What’s in the 7-day build for a window and door business

The build covers four things, and every one of them is live within 7 days:

Your Business Profile: Double glazing installer or Window installation service as the main category, picked to fit the work you’d most like more of, with the rest added, every product you fit entered as a service in the words your customers use, your service areas, and pictures from jobs you’ve fitted.

Your website: its own page for every product you want enquiries for, such as casement, sash or tilt and turn windows and composite or bifold doors, each one naming the towns you fit in.

Citations: your business name and number the same on every directory that lists you, the trade directories included.

Local schema, speed and structure: the technical side of your site put right, so Google can tell it’s a window and door firm and where it works.

The build takes 7 days. Holding a place on the map is a longer job, and on its current grid Eco Glaze has held the same spot on every scan since July.

It’s built for window and door companies whose ads already bring in paying work.

Get your own map scanned free

Tell us the product you most want to sell and the town you want to sell it in. The scan checks where you come up for it at points spread across your area, then reads your Business Profile and website, and 30 to 60 minutes later you’ll have your position, the problems holding you back, and your quote for the build, which is paid once. Then it’s £99 a month for weekly management and reporting.

We don’t charge for the scan because your quote comes out of it, and the results stay with you whether you hire us or not.
